1ireland.jpgScotland might justifiably claim to be the historic home of golf, but ask any patriotic Irishman – from either side of the border – which country has the best courses in the world, and you will only get one answer.
Ireland is a golfer’s paradise both for enthusiasts and relative newcomers, and the event organiser looking to put together a conference with a golfing programme attached, a company or association golf tournament, or a golf-based incentive, need look no further than the Emerald Isle.
There has to be an upside to all that rain of course, and in Ireland’s case, it is a selection of over 400 courses – including 30% of the world’s links courses – all on one small island.
Getting around, if you choose to use more than one course for your event, is easy, as is getting there from the UK mainland. Irish hospitality is also legendary, both on and off of the golf course, and with green fees amongst the cheapest in Europe, even before you start negotiating special corporate packages or group rates, it is no surprise that Ireland is starting to top the leader board for golf-based events.
